Tell us about a project with CCNY you are proud of.
STEM2035: A Wilson grant that funded 17 organizations from WNY and SEMI to assist in increasing the STEM afterschool depth and reach to underrepresent youth in STEM. It has been a joy to work directly with the grantees. The cohort model of the grant exceed the expectations and gave the grantees a dynamic and thoughtful place to collaborate.
What inspires you?
The little things that are beautiful. Flowers and sunshine and the way nature present pictures to us. The moments when all the thoughts of the world and your job and stress and life just disappear and you can think about the bigger picture and what’s important in your life.
Happiness, that look on someone’s face when they are smiling and their eyes are bright and their body language is open and jovial. Love in any and all circumstances. The support, respect and magic that it provides never fails.
Who is a hero of yours?
My mother.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to travel, exercise, read, listen to music, garden, take walks and spend time with my husband and our 3 girls.
